Today's verse is
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."-Deuteronomy 31:6
Many times, as Christians, we may find it hard to follow God. We're afraid that people may judge us, isolate us, and treat us differently. And most of the times this may prove to be true. In my own life I face a small type of persecution, once I say I'm a Christian I must act like one. And this is no small feat. The minute you say your Christian your actions are judged. When others hear you swear and cuss and put down others they may be thinking in their own mind, "So this is the love of Christ." We of course are not perfect, but with God we can become so much more. People in other countries are persecuted for their faith. They may be afraid whether or not God is worth dying for, and if he is really truly there for them in their time of need. But as shown in this verse above, God wants us to be strong and courageous. We have nothing to fear because in this battle we are NEVER alone because "the Lord you God goes with you." and unlike the people of this world, we can be 100% sure that he will not forsake us.
