Potter and the Clay

Jeremiah 18:3-4 reads “3 So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 but the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.”

We are the clay and our heavenly father is the potter, as the clay it is important to yield to God because he has a bigger purpose for us. We may be experiencing hardships as of now but because of hardships we become stronger. God has a will and a purpose in our lives and we most have his will not ours be done. Learning the significance behind the potter and the clay is important in order to understand God’s will in our lives and to overcome the trials we may be facing.

Verse of the Day

Everyday I will try to come online to leave at least one new verse up to discuss.  Try to take some time to memorize some of the verses posted because learning about the word of God can ONLY help you in my opinion.

Today's verse is

Titus 2:11-14
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

I choose these verses because they offer hope to the hopeless and a new life to those who had once lived unrighteously.  It is so easy to fall from the faith, to detour from God's path for us, but because of his mercy we can say No to the ungodliness and worldly passions.  This is a struggle I find so hard to overcome at times but with our God who can doing absolutely   anything, all we have to do is submit to him.  God had sent his ONLY son to redeem us.  So that even if we made mistakes in our past we can move on and live according to his will.  I had made so many mistakes in my life that I find it almost impossible to count, mistakes that people have been unable to forgive me for.  But no matter how many times you fail God will always forgive you, there is no limit to his love and forgiveness.
